Hari Menon and T C Meenakshisundaram Join IIMK LIVE Board

IIMK LIVE – a business incubator and entrepreneurship development center established by IIM Kozhikode with the support of Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Government of India, announced that Hari Menon and TC Meenakshisundaram (TCM) have joined their board of governors. Hari Menon is the Co-founder and CEO of India’s largest online supermarket, Bigbasket and TC Meenakshisundaram (TCM) is Founder and Managing Director of IDG Ventures India Advisors which is an early-stage venture capital firm.
“IIMK LIVE is a new centre of IIM Kozhikode set up last year with an objective to contribute to the country’s economic goals and we are expanding the board of governors to include individuals with significant stature in the ecosystem”, Kulbhushan Balooni, Director, IIM Kozhikode and Chairman, IIMK LIVE said in a press release. “Both Hari Menon and TCM are likely to bring entrepreneurs’ and investors’ – two important stakeholders for incubator like ours – perspectives in directing the center’s policies, activities and governance. Hari Menon’s inspiring journey as an entrepreneur and TCM’s rich venture finance experience would be of significant value in helping IIMK LIVE achieve its goals. I am sure that LIVE would benefit considerably from their joining the board”, he added.
“I would be happy to contribute to IIMK LIVE as a member of the board of governors. I am glad that my entrepreneurial experience would be useful in developing interventions that support upcoming start-ups and young entrepreneurs’” Hari Menon indicated in his communication while accepting the IIMK LIVE board’s invitation.
TCM accepted IIMK LIVE’s invitation with a note committing to take active interest in deliberating IIMK LIVE’s affairs. “I am pleased to confirm taking up the position as a member of the Board of Governors of IIM-K Live, the business incubator of IIM-Kozhikode. Look forward to actively participating in the deliberations to see that the incubator and the incubatee start-ups become successful in future,” the press release quoted him.
