KOCHI:
The national meet of naturopaths ‘Nature Life National Sammelan 2018’ urged the Government to conduct a social audit on naturopathy.
The resolution recommended by Swami Agnivesh, Arya Samaj scholar and social activist, was presented by Gandhian Thayattu Balan. Swami Agnivesh pointed out that naturopathy practitioners are being ignored and tortured in Kerala.
Swami said that he tried to contact Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in this regard, but he was not able to discuss the matter as Pinrayi was in Kolkota. He pointed out that a positive response is expected from the Chief Minister as the LDF is always on the forefront of the upliftment of the poor and development of the State.
He pointed out that the Governments which are supposed to support the natural life had taken a negative approach towards this sector. All human beings keep their mind and body clean, but allopathy medicines brings an end to the life of people.
Around 90 per cent of the allopathy medicines are chemicals. More medicines are being prescribed by the doctors for helping the allopathy mafia.
Swami said that a joint effort is needed to fight against the modern medicine which is harmful for health. A social audit is need to find out whether naturopathy, traditional medicine or allopathy is good for the society. Naturopathy will help people to adjust with the change in climatic conditions, he said.
