Raising new hopes in the Indian Rheumatic Treatment field, Monsoon Summit of the Rheumatology specialists has been concluded at Kochi.
International studies on Scleroderma and Spondyloarthritis were presented at the summit. Innovative concepts on the implementation of global research results, regarding the rheumatic treatment methods, in Indian context were introduced in the summit. Dr. Dinesh Khanna ,University of Michigan, USA, Prof. Christopher Denton, Institute of Immunity and Transplantation Royal Free Hospital, UK, Dr. Mohit Kapoor, University Health Network, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Dr. Nigil Haroon, The University of Toronto, Canada, participated in the discussions of final day. The ideas derived from the summit is hopeful for the Rheumatology community of India and Kerala and on integrating those ideas we could develop a better way of treatment for rheumatology patients here, said Dr. Padmanabha Shenoy, Rheumatologist Ambassador of Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology.
