KOCHI:
Staying true to their legacy, Jawa and Yezdi motorcycle models have always had the performance edge. Right from the Jawa 42, which pioneered a sporty modern classic motorcycle in the country to the purpose built Yezdi Adventure to take on any terrain and the Yezdi Scrambler, India’s first true blue scrambler, the motorcycles have set the hearts racing for brand enthusiasts.
To enhance the riding experience of the riders and enable them to explore the limits of their motorcycles, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles have been organising training programs tailor made for the riders’ requirements. The latest in line is ‘Street Rush’.
Street Rush carries forward the brand’s initiatives under the Jawa Yezdi Nomads umbrella to keep their Kommuniti engaged with exciting training programs that enable riders to get the most out of their machines. While the ‘Trail Attack’ was focused on off-road riding, this program is aimed at a more urban setting and focuses on honing road-riding skills. It is a one-of-a-kind gymkhana event for owners where they get to push the limits of their Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles while experiencing the thrill of racing on a closed circuit; all in a controlled environment. The first edition of the Street Rush event will be held at the Chicane Circuit in Hyderabad on the 30th of April.
Participants will be trained by Rustom Patel, a renowned name in off-road and rally events as well as training programs. Rustom, who has three international and eight national titles to his name, is currently the head coach of Ajmera Racing India and will impart hands-on training to the participants. The event is open for all Jawa & Yezdi owners. Registration fee for the event is a nominal INR 499 and interested riders can register themselves online for the event at:
This one-day program is designed to help riders learn new skills and master their motorcycles’ capabilities while having a fun day at the track. During the day, riders will learn basics of riding techniques like motorcycle control, acceleration, throttle control, cornering, turning-in and effective braking. After getting familiar with these concepts, the riders will be allowed to run timed laps around a closed circuit to put their skills to test.
Safety is top priority for this event and Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles urges all participants to wear proper riding gear during their sessions. This includes high quality helmet, protective riding jackets and pants / knee guards, gloves, and riding boots.
