NEW DELHI:
In a bid to pledge FICCI’s support for the people of Kerala affected by floods, Deepak L Aswani, Co-Chair FICCI Kerala State Council met E.P. Jayarajan, Acting Chief Minister of Kerala & Minister for Industries, Commerce, Sports & Youth Affairs, yesterday.
Aswani and Savio Mathew, Head FICCI Kerala office handed over the cheques worth Rs.31,15,961 to the Acting Chief Minister. This amount was raised through FICCI’s members and employees. Many other FICCI members have also contributed directly to Chief Ministers Distress Relief Fund (Rs 41.26 crores) and also in kind by supplying huge quantity of relief materials such as food, clothing and essential materials etc.to various relief camps.
FICCI’s Kerala office has been in touch with the district officials and was working closely with the State Government to extend the necessary support.
E.P. Jayarajan, thanked FICCI for the support extended to the State Government and people of Kerala affected by floods.
