GOA:
FC Goa, in a bid to honour their fans and the support they have extended to the Club throughout the course of their ongoing ISL campaign, have made historical slashes in ticket prices ahead of their last two home matches for the league stage.
The initiative – a part of the ‘Forca Fans Feb’ programme will see the fans of the Club being given a chance to get their hands on some unprecedented prizes with the ticket prices being the start of their offerings as the ISL heads into the business end of the season.
Tickets for FC Goa’s matches will now be available for as much as just ₹99 onwards, which makes this one of the biggest moves in terms of prices being slashed since the start of the season. While the ₹99 tickets are exclusively for the North and South Lower stands, tickets for other stands have also been made available at never-heard-before discounted rates.
“Our fans are our greatest strength and it always brings a smile to my face, whenever we can give back to them for their outstanding support. I hope the reduced prices will help them watch their favourites and be part of the last few crucial games,” FC Goa head coach Carlos Pena added.
“Throughout the season, the fans played a pivotal role in our success, especially in home matches where they turned up in large numbers. They make it feel like home and it’s no surprise that we have the second-best home record in the league.
“Their voices, their presence is what motivates the team to go the extra mile. There’s nothing that I’d love more than their continued support and presence at the stadium, as we head towards the most important final part of our league campaign,” he further added.
FC Goa counts on home form ahead of crucial set of fixtures
The Gaurs will play their last two home matches of the season on the 11th and 16th of February, against Mumbai City and Chennaiyin FC respectively. With Carlos Pena’s boys currently in fifth place and pushing hard for a playoff spot, the results in their upcoming matches are crucial for them to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
Throughout their ongoing ISL campaign, FC Goa have benefited from their fans’ support at Fatorda, as testified by their impressive home record. As far as home game standings are concerned, the Club are currently in second place, behind only Mumbai City with six wins from eight matches.
The Boys in Orange have collected 26 points so far in the league this season, 18 of which have come from their own backyard.
With the immense support from their loyal supporters as usual, FC Goa will look to win both their remaining home matches, in a bid to qualify for the playoffs in what would be a record seventh time in the history of the ISL.
