PANJIM:
FC Goa, in association with the Forca Goa Foundation will launch FC Goa Soccer Schools on 20th April 2018. This specially curated programme aims to help the development of the sport in the state of Goa and to help more children get the opportunity to take up the game. The Soccer Schools will run for a period of one month between 20th April to 20th May for children between the ages of 8 and 14.
FC Goa Head of Youth Development, Derrick Pereira has curated a special coaching plan for the programme which aims to develop the technical ability of children interested in playing the sport. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with first team players of the FC Goa squad, in addition to taking home FC Goa branded footballs and customized FC Goa Soccer School kits.
The programme will run from two venues across the state – one each in North and South Goa. The Sangolda Panchayat ground in Sangolda and the Raia Panchayat ground in Raia will serve as the venues. Children will be divided into three different age categories – U10, U12 and U14. Training for the U10 category will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday of every week between 7:00 am to 8:00 am. The U12 category will have training on the same days between 8:30 am to 9:30 am while the U14 category will have to report for training every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 7:30 am and 9:00 am.
The programme is priced at INR 3999, inclusive of taxes. Interested parties visit the club’s website, www.fcgoa.in/soccerschools to register their children. Offline registrations are also possible at Champs, New Market in Margao, Champs Boutique in Panjim and at the FC Goa House in Porvorim. Registrations are open from today.
