THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The District Tourism promotion Council (DTPC) here as planned a Nature Camp for children, in association with Environmental Protection and Research Council, from April 7 to May 15 at Akkulam Children’s Park.
Children in 10-15 age group can enrol for the camp, aimed at instilling love of nature and spirit of conservation in young minds. Apart from sessions focussing on environmental issues, scientific approach to conservation and restoration, the camp will also have tour programmes including visit to tribal and ethnic villages, walk to river banks and nature, visit to planetarium, JNTBGRI (Palode)’, besides Yoga and swimming sessions.
The timing of the camp will be from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. On days of outing, the camp will begin at 7.30 in the morning and conclude at 5.30 in the afternoon. Admission will be limited to the first registering 30 students.
