Global trade enabler DP World Subcontinent has won two categories at the prestigious Gateway Awards 2017 that was held on 7th September, at The Lalit in Mumbai.
Anil Singh, Senior Vice-President and Managing Director, DP World Subcontinent was conferred with the Jury’s choice award of the Indian Maritime Businessman of the Year 2017. This distinguished award was presented to Singh in recognition of his visionary leadership and his invaluable contribution to the maritime industry through several sustainability initiatives.
DP World Subcontinent was also awarded the CSR Excellence of the Year award in recognition of the organization’s noteworthy contribution towards holistic societal development. DP World has been undertaking various initiatives with a focus on skill development especially for women and youth, providing quality healthcare services and
numerous afforestation measures.
The Indian Maritime Businessman of the Year 2017 award was presented to Anil Singh by Michael Pinto, Former Secretary, Ministry of Shipping & M Riaz Hamidullah, High Commissioner, Bangladesh High Commission and the CSR Excellence of the Year award was presented to Monal Srivastava and Bosco D’silva by Raj Khalid – India Representative, Port of Antwerp & Umesh Grover, Secretary General,CFS AI.
