Global trade enabler DP World operated India Gateway Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (IGTPL), after a record-breaking performance in January 2019, has achieved another milestone by completing approximately 2400 gate transactions per day. This is an 88% increase from regular gate moves; the average gate transactions for IGTPL is approx. 1750 per day.
The terminal registered this exemplary performance post the external transport strike, to assist the trade in getting their cargo delivered faster and minimize its impact on the supply chain. IGTPL achieved this feat by deploying additional resources, efficient planning and coordinating with key industry stakeholders like Cochin Customs, Cochin Port Trust, Cochin Steamer Agent Association, Cochin Customs Brokers Association and Container Freight Stations.
