The 2019 season of MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship proved to be a glorious season for Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. The IDEMITSU Honda Ten10 Racing Team brings home 5 th consecutive PS165cc triple crown and debut PS201-300cc win in all 3 classes (Team-Rider-Manufacturer).
With a stellar display of performance throughout the season, Honda’s ace riders Sarath Kumar & Rajiv Sethu haul in overall 1-2 positions in PS165cc championship, whereas it’s a clean sweep by the trio of Anish Shetty, Abhishek V & Aravind B in PS201-300cc. Parallely, the young guns put up a great show in IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup 2019 with Md. Mikail & Lal Nunsanga dominating the NSF250R & CBR150R categories.

PS165cc: The last race of PS165cc saw IDEMITSU Honda Ten10 racing riders K. Kannan and Sarath Kumar getting double podium finishes. In neck-to-neck battle for victory, K. Kannan overtook his rival and reached at top place in 3 rd lap but loose the hold near the finish line with a minor gap of 0.200 second. With total time of 15.59.592, K Kannan finished 2 nd . On the other hand, Sarath Kumar maintained his pace from 3 rd lap and recorded 8 th podium finish of the season.
At the end of day 2, Sarath Kumar leads with a total 206 points, leads the championship. Despite having a bad start in today’s race, Rajiv Sethu with 6 wins and total 186 points stands second. PS201-300cc: It was a double podium finish for IDEMITSU Honda Ten10 Racing team in PS201-300cc. Leading from the front in today’s race again was Hubli boy Anish Shetty who after stopping the clock at 13:55.497. Anish’s aggressive performance has helped him in snapping his 7th consecutive win. Following Anish back home was ENEOS Chandra Honda Racing team’s Naresh Babu who celebrated his first podium of the season with solid 8.727 seconds ahead of Chennai boy Aravind B.
Closing the finale, the IDEMITSU Honda Ten10 racing team enjoys sweet triple win of the season in pS201- 300cc. Anish leads the championship with total 240 points followed by Bengaluru boy Abhishek V (147 points) and Chennai’s Aravind B (111 points).
