Software company Docker Vision launched its ground-breaking product that serves a wide range of industries dealing with physical documents, facilitating glitch-free and seamless extraction of critical data upon uploading digital copy and feeding them to customer relationship management or other enterprise systems.
Among the top beneficiaries of the ‘Gen AI-based Document Extraction and Verification Solution’ will be the maritime sector, enabling it to “revolutionize” the workflow, according to the company that provides innovative solutions to domestic and international clients, with a strategic focus on port automation.
Docker Vision CEO and Co-founder Prajith Nair said the cutting-edge technology reduces a job of 168 man-hours to ‘just 44 seconds’. “In the process, we eliminate human errors and boosting efficiency,” he pointed out.
Additionally, the company, which incubated under Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), offers a portfolio of AI-powered OCR (optical character recognition) technology products designed for real-time identification of containers, rail wagons and vehicles. The existing product line-up includes dOCR (road/rail operations), RTG or RMG crane operations, dOCR quay crane operations, automatic number plate recognition system, face recognition and vision-based surveillance.
According to Athira M, CTO and Co-founder of the startup, the Gen AI leverages a combination of advanced computer vision techniques for robust document pre-processing and layout analysis. “This is coupled with LLMs (large language models) that can recognize and extract a wide variety of data points with exceptional accuracy, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows,” she revealed.
Incepted in 2021, Docker Vision, which is backed by venture capital firms SeaFund and Thinkuvate, and with strategic assistance from SanchiConnect, announced its upcoming fundraising round aimed at securing $500,000. This capital infusion will facilitate the on-boarding of ten additional customers and pave the way to achieving a monthly recurring revenue of $50,000 within the next 12 months.
“This capital infusion is not just about numbers; it’s about the future we’re building for Docker Vision,” pointed out Prajith. “We’re energized to expand our customer base, elevate our offerings, and shape the future of maritime sector.”
Since its inception, the company has delivered cutting-edge technologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency across various industries.
For nascent companies and their incubation, KSUM functions as the government’s nodal agency. Established in 2006, it has been working for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
