The DGCX IBMC Gold Convention has officially launched with its first successful convention at Burj Khalia, Armani Hotel, Dubai, opening a new gateway for UAE and Africa Gold Markets.
DGCX IBMC Gold Convention is a futuristic joint initiative by Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and IBMC Financial Professionals Group designed to support and boost the Gold Trade, Investment, and Business relation between Industry Participants connected to UAE and other continents.
DGCX and IBMC have organized the first Gold Convention with the specific focus on UAE and Africa gold trading and investment. The primary objective of the event is to showcase the entire gamut of gold trade and related business activities in the UAE and help the participants explore potential opportunities available to gold businesses based on the continent of Africa and the UAE.
The Gold Convention covered all major activities including import/ export, transportation, gold refining, vault facilities and trading as well as a detailed presentation for pricing and delivery of the DGCX Shari’ah compliant Spot Gold contract, the regions first, and worlds only exchange traded, physically delivered, Shari’ah-compliant gold product.
The Convention was officially inaugurated jointly by Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Hamed, Chairman-IBMC International UAE, Les Male,Chief Executive Officer , Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and Sajith Kumar P K, CEO and Managing Director, IBMC Global Network in the auspicious presence of Irene Nafuna Muloni,Minister of Energy & Mineral Development, Republic of Uganda, Barbara Oteng-Gyasie, Deputy Minister for Lands & Minerals Commission, Republic of Ghana, Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador, Embassy of Uganda, Mohammed Dansanta Rimi, Ambassador,The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alh. IBMC’s Industry White Paper “Mines to Market” on Gold Trade and Investment Between the UAE and Africa” is a collective industry requirements collected from the event panel discussions, presentations and industry players attended to the conference. This will be submitted to the relevant Authorities with recommendations and suggestions for policy initiatives to realize the full potential of trade between the UAE and Africa.
