Government CyberPark imparted awareness to its employers and representatives about their legal responsibilities under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act to foster a safer and inclusive workplace.
The POSH Act Awareness Session, which was held in collaboration with Fio Foundationas part of the International Women’s Day, sought to empower organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to create a respectful and supportive work environment. The focus was on building a future thriving on equality, safety and inclusivity, organisers said.
The session was led byFio Foundation founder SuhailKundil, who guided the participants through key aspects of the POSH Act, including its historical evolution, the Vishakha Guidelines and the legal mandates for employers.
The speaker emphasized the role of leadership in fostering a harassment-free workplace, highlighting how organizations can leverage the POSH framework to build a culture of trust and accountability. The discussion also shed light on the scope and opportunities for businesses to go beyond compliance and actively create safe and thriving workplaces.
