Cochin University of Science and Technology entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Kerala Police Academy (KEPA).
CUSAT Registrar Dr.K. Ajitha and Dr. B. Sandhya, ADGP, Director, KEPA signed the MoU in the presence of Vice Chancellor Dr. K.N Madhusoodanan. Dr. Sandhya expressed the intention to start an M.Sc programme in association with CUSAT. The MoU plans to use the cyber intelligence research laboratory of CUSAT to make policing more technical. Collaboration between the institutions to promote academic learning, training, and research and explore the possibility of joint academic programmes is also envisaged.
It will facilitate the exchange of faculty and resource persons for academic and research purposes available in both institutions and jointly develop and organise thematic short term training programmes, seminars, conference, workshops, case studies in the areas of mutual interest. MoU will encourage CUSAT to initiate and undertake training of the Police Academy trainers. Academic publication materials, library, computer labs, information, data, other research works related to common interest will be exchanged as per the MoU.
