Cochin University of Science and Technology has invited applications for contract appointment of Associate Professor in Marine Engineering and Assistant Professor in Naval Architecture & Ship Building for its Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering. Associate Professor has a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 1,04,000/-.
Candidates with B.Tech in Marine/Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture and First Class Certificate of Competency (MOT) and 12 years of Experience in the relevant field out of which at least two years in the position of Chief Engineer, or five years experience as Lecturer in Marine Engineering, can apply. M.Tech in Marine
Engineering is desirable. Candidates with BE/B.Tech/B.S. and M.E./M.Tech/M.S. or Integrated M.Tech in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees can apply for the post of Assistant Professor.
Consolidated salary Rs. 42,000/- for Ph.D holders and Rs. 40,000/- for others. Application fee is Rs. 700/- for general and Rs. 140/- for SC/ST category.
