Thiruvananthapuram: CPM Leader and former Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan hasannounced his intention to proceed against Vellappally Natesan, a leader of the Ezhava community organisation, SNDP on Sunday. He said he would also become a party in a case against Vellappally Natesan in the micro finance case.
Achuthanadan told the media that Vellappally who cheated innocent Ezhava women
of their money would be brought to book.
The microfinance case refers to a big financial scandal involving Vellappally Natesan
and SNDP and the case is now under the consideration of a law court in Kerala.
Achuthanandan’s announcement comes in the wake of Vellappally’s meeting with
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday. Vellappally who took a firm stand
on behalf of the Ezhava community against CPM during Kerala state elections, met
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for personal reasons. Political observers see it
as part of many games played by Vellappally Natesan to suit his interests.
Achuthanadan who is an arch enemy of both Vellappally and Pinarayi has filed an
application requesting the court bto make him a party in the micrifinance case with a
personal agenda.
