THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
As part of its noble mission to honour and boost the morale of corona warriors, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has planned fly-past at prominent locations across the country stretching from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.
The fly-past, which will start at 0750 hrs from Srinagar, will fly over important monuments in cities such as Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kanniyakumari before reaching the last point of Thiruvananthapuram.
The state Secretariat here has been chosen as the monument over where IAF jets will fly, and it is expected to take place during 1705-1715 hrs.
This will be in addition to parading and showering of petals by IAF aircrafts over COVID-related hospitals between 09.30 and 1010 hrs in the city in recognition of the services of health workers, police personnel home guards and others in containing the spread of the disease.
The hospitals selected are General Hospital and the Medical College Hospital. Doctors, nurses and health workers will participate in the programme.
