With 425 new cases reported in a day, Delhi”s tally of coronavirus cases jumped to 8,895 on Friday with 5,254 active cases.
As per the Delhi Health reports, eight new deaths were added in the tally, however, these were not reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total Covid deaths in the national capital to 123. The Health Department said 473 patients have recovered in the city in the past 24 hours.
“As many as 425 new cases were reported. The number of positive cases in the city is 8,895 on Friday. At least 3,518 patients have so far recovered from coronavirus while 5,254 cases are active,” the Health Department said.
According to the health bulletin, among the 123 who died, 107 had other serious diseases. Also, only 26 people out of the total deaths were those below the age of 50 years. So far, 1,25,189 tests have been conducted in Delhi. The containment zones tally remained at 78 in the national capital, the bulletin said.
