THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The city-based Centre for innovation in Science & Social Action (CISSA) will organize a workshop on E-waste Management on July 10, 2019.
The event will be held with the support of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE) at the Museum Auditorium under the Department of Museums and Zoos. The workshop is being held as the culmination of the KSCSTE-supported project ‘ICT-based Awareness and Action Workshop on Electronic Waste’. Representatives from 30 partner schools, stakeholders in E-Waste Management, Government sector, NGOs and, Academic Institutions will take part in the workshop, said Dr C Suresh Kumar, General Secretary, CISSA; and Er Suresh Babu B V, Director (Energy & Clean Technologies), CISSA.
Satish Sinha, Associate Director at Toxics Link, New Delhi, would be the Chief Guest at the workshop, which would be presided over by Dr P Harinarayanan, Principal Scientist at KSCSTE. The Keynote Address by the Chief Guest will be followed by a Panel Discussion on evolving a replicability model and systematic collection plan.
