THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The city-based Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), in association with the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, will celebrate Earth Day 2018 on April 28, Saturday. The event on the theme ‘Go Green Go Clean’ will be held at Gandhi Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram.
Quiz competitions for students and a public lecture on the focal theme ‘Go Green Go Clean’ will be organized as a part of the celebrations. Quiz competitions will be held in three categories on different topics.
Students of the Primary classes can participate under Category I on the topic ‘Natural Resources’, while students from class 6th – 10th can participate under Category II on the topic ‘Energy Resources (conventional and non-conventional)’. ‘Global Warming- its effects’ will be the topic for the Category III which can be participated by students from classes 11th and 12th.
