THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The city-based Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) in collaboration with Agency for Non-conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT), Government of Kerala, is organizing a seminar on Technological Advances in Sustainable Transportation – Electrical Mobility and Use of Renewable Energy as part of the 2018 National Technology Day celebration on May 14, Monday. The event, sponsored by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), will be held at Conference Hall, ANERT, PMG, Thiruvananthapuram from 10 am onwards.
Technical sessions will be held, post inauguration. Dr. R.Harikumar, Director, ANERT, will conduct a session on ‘Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles’, while Er.A.M.Narayanan, Head, Energy Efficiency, Energy Management Centre, Kerala will make a presentation on the topic ‘Electric Vehicles and Government Policy’.
A talk on ‘Environment, Climate and Economic Impacts of Electric Transportation System’ will be given by Er. Sabu V.R., Associate Professor, Automobile Engineering, SCT College of Engineering. Sri Sriram, Mahendra Electicals, will talk on the topic ‘Electric Vehicles for Mass Transportation and Personal Use’. The forum will be open for an interactive session after the technical sessions. The event will conclude with the valedictory function.
