THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chandy Oommen MLA on Wednesday unveiled the official T-Shirt of GTECH Kerala Marathon 2025, to be held in the state capital to support ‘Drug Free Kerala’ campaign.
Group of Technology Companies (GTECH), the industry body comprising more than 250 IT companies in Kerala, is organizing the third edition of the GTECH Kerala Marathon on February 9, 2025, Sunday in the city.
“Drug abuse is a major problem confronting our community, especially the youth. There needs to be a social campaign to augment awareness of this malaise and to make Kerala drug free,” said Chandy Oommen while unveiling the T-Shirt in Technopark in the presence Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd), CEO Technopark. Sreekumar V, Secretary, GTECH and Centre Head (Trivandrum), Tata Elxsi, and Manoj Elanjickal, Director – People & Culture, H&R Block India, were present.
The marathon will see the participation of over 7500 runners making it the biggest race ever held in the state. The run will bring together participants from diverse backgrounds, regardless of age, geography, gender or fitness levels.
Students from some of the leading colleges, IT professionals, central & state government employees, defence personnel and corporate members are expected to participate.The marathon will feature three categories of runs – Half Marathon (21km), 10km, Fun Run (3km – 5km) – for men, women and children.
