Blue Economy will be the thrust area of research in Cusat in the coming years, and Ocean Electronics will play a major role in this direction, said Cusat Vice-Chancellor Dr. J. Letha.
She was giving the Presidential address in the three day Inter National Symposium on Ocean Technology at the Cusat Seminar complex. Dr. K. Paulose Jacob, Head, NRB Scientific Computing Panel, inaugurated the three day Symposium. He emphasised the introduction and usage of Wireless Sensoring Network in the Ocean Electronics Research especially in the area of underwater explorations.
Dr. M. A. Atmanand, former Director, National Institute of Ocean Technology delivered the Key Note address on Blue Economy. The topic Ocean Thermal Energy Conservation was highlighted and how the conservation would be the key milestone for the future generation which will contribute to redressal of the bad effects of climate change, he added.
