PANJIM:
He’s no roly poly character, Bruno Azaredo, but a son of the soil from Utorda, Salcete, Goa who has bagged the plump post for Carnaval 2018 to be King Momo for four days from February 10-13.
Behind the royal robes will be a man less chubby, yet charming, chivalrous and conscientious. He is no stranger to Goa and has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry over the last four decades. A very bubbly, jovial and friendly Bruno has a huge fan following for his views on physical fitness and health as he is in sync with Prime Minister Modi’s Swasth Bharat Programme launched last year.
A B.Com graduate, Bruno made a mark for himself as a designer and manufacturer of trendy clothing. Today, he is into research and development of cosmetics for several leading overseas brands and has presently dedicated himself to the field of aromatherapy and anti aging products.
“I am not that huge guy who people generally see as King Momo every year. But I am the right guy with a large heart, high on health and exercise, something that people of Goa will love to see and be inspired with,” Bruno said.
Azaredo spellbound the King Momo 2018 selection panel with his presentation and audition that came naturally in his tone, poise and appeal.
His experience in the entertainment industry as a choreographer, dancer and last but not the least his very own contribution to Goa Carnaval in the yester years, has brought him atop the King Momo float for Goa Carnaval 2018.
He believes in success without throwing weight around and slim though he is, Bruno still wants to trim up for the big four days of Goa Carnaval.
