

PALAKKAD:
Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, organized a Mega Camp in Palakkad, Kerala, on 29 th August 2025. The camp was held as part of the nationwide Saturation Campaign launched by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The campaign, which runs from July 1 to September 30, 2025, aims to ensure 100% coverage under financial inclusion and social security schemes at the Gram Panchayat (GP) and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) level.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Sanjay Vinayak Mudaliar, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, along with Prajith Kumar D, General Manager and Zonal Head, Ernakulam, prominent local dignitaries, and other senior banking officials.
Commenting on the initiative in his keynote, Sanjay Vinayak Mudaliar, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, said, "At Bank of Baroda, we believe that financial inclusion is not just about providing banking access, but about empowering every citizen to participate meaningfully in the financial system and benefit from government-backed schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, social security insurance programs, and the Atal Pension Yojana. This Mega Camp in Palakkad reflects our commitment to take these benefits to the last mile, ensuring that underserved sections of society are empowered through equitable access to essential financial services."
As part of the programme, certificates of Insurance under PMJJBY and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), along with enrolment acknowledgment receipts under the Atal Pension Yojana (APY), were distributed to newly enrolled beneficiaries. Re-KYC process under eligible PMJDY accounts were carried out. The Chief Guest also visited the stalls distributed the SHG sanction letters to members of Self- Help Groups (SHGs) as well as food and agriculture sanction letters, thereby encouraging and supporting their entrepreneurial initiatives. In alignment with these efforts, the bank sanctioned financial assistance totaling Rs. 3.53 crores to 350 beneficiaries across 25 SHG groups from branches in the Palakkad district, reinforcing its dedication to fostering inclusive economic growth at the grassroots level. This Mega Camp exemplifies unwavering commitment of Banking fraternity to furthering the Government of India’s vision of universal financial access and comprehensive social security coverage.
