Thiruvananthapuram: A security check was conducted at all ATMs of State Bank of Travancore in Kerala to find out whether any high-tech device has been installed by fraudsters to loot customers.
This is in the wake of the high-tech robbery committed by fraudsters at the SBI ATM at Vellayambalam in Thiruvananthapuram. The tech-savvy looters had installed devices to copy the pin and details of the ATMs of customers who had used their cards at the Vellayambalam ATM to draw money.
Kerala Police have instructed all other banks in the state to conduct similar checks at their ATMs.
