Atlético de Kolkata Returns From Pre Season

KOLKATA:
The champions of inaugural edition and semi finalists of the second edition of ISL, Atlético de Kolkata, is all set to conquer the imagination of fans for the third season post the team’s month long pre-season at Los Angeles de San Rafael ground in El Espinar, Segovia, Spain. The training module was designed to get the footballers in right physical shape for the demanding third season of Indian Super League commencing on 1st October. The red and white brigade that aims to reclaim the ISL trophy, today discussed their plans on the days ahead and how the team has shaped up for their first encounter and the entire season. Marquee Player Hélder Postiga, Iain Hume and Arnab Mandal along with Sanjiv Goenka, Co-owner Atlético de Kolkata, graced the occasion.
“On behalf of the management, I welcome the boys from a thrilling and tough pre-season in Spain. We believe that this year our team is comprised of dynamic Indian and foreign recruits who are all set to exhibit their skills with just a week left for the season to begin. The pre-season has definitely enabled our players to know each other better and work on their strengths under the vision of our new coach José Molina who will back the boys with his myriad experience of the game. We also have a new home ground where work is going on full swing. We look forward to an exciting season ahead.”
Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman RP- Sanjiv Goenka Group, Co-owner, Atlético de Kolkata says – “It feels great to be playing for Atlético de Kolkata for the consecutive year. My stay last year was short lived but I have earned memories which endeared me to come back to Indian football and especially the ATK family. The passionate fans of Kolkata will definitely push my zeal for performing in this edition as fitness wise I am in much better shape and had a good season with Rio Ave F.C at Primeira Liga. I hope I will be able to support the team throughout this season. We had an energetic pre-season in Spain which will back our game this time. I am sure my fellow players are as eager as I am”.

o with their brand new song by musical genius Papon, brilliantly composed by Raja Narayan Deb, with inspiring and liberating lyrics by Rohan Basu and backup voices by Koushik Chakraborty and Nagar Sankirtan, adding to this magic is the high octane guitars by Rhythm Shaw. The song has been ideated by Dipankar (Jojo) Chaki. The mixing has been done at QFactor Studio by one and only Bishwadeep Chatterjee. The team management also announced the new tagline “Aamar Bukey ATK” which will boost the players and fans alike.
