Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) protested for not taking necessary action against those who confined and mentally harassed lady doctor.
Dr. Reshmi, in – charge of Binanipuram primary health centre in Kadungalloor gramapanchayath, was subjected to confinement during the protest conducted by AIYF asking to appoint lab technician in the health centre. Police came to rescue Dr.Reshmi and later she filed a case according to hospital protection act. Following this the protesters started to insult Dr.Reshmi through social media. More than 300 patients are coming daily at this hospital serving in the flood affected Kadungalloor panchayath.
On inaugurating the protest organized by KGMOA in support of Dr.Reshmi, Dr. K.H Deepa, district president, KGMOA, said: “KGMOA will together resist all moves to insult and isolate Dr. Reshmi.” The culprits are to be arrested soon, Dr. Deepa added. On the occasion Dr. K.B. Shinil asked to take action against such anti social people who disturbs the smooth flow of the hospital. Representing KGMOA Dr. Appu Cyriac, Dr. Reshmi, Dr. Sain Mary, Dr. Anoop Pratheeksh, Dr. Thanu Mary Thomas, Dr. Vinod Paulose, Dr. Sudhakar Reddy, Dr. Syriac P Joy, Dr. Asha Vijayan and Pharmacist Manoj spoke on the protest.
