The programme intends to achieve peace of every kind through art. It includes areas such as society, polity, development studies, gender studies, Gandhian studies, journalism, media and international peace and different forms of art such as music, dance, theatre, visual arts and cinema.
Both the programs will be for a duration of 2 years and will consist of 4 semesters. There will be a mandatory internship during both of them.
Commenting on both the programmes, Prof Varadesh Hiregange, Director of the Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Science said , “In the world we are living in today, a deeper understanding of contemporary ecological crises and social and international crises is highly important. I believe these courses will help students explore the ‘root’ of different issues and help them understand the way within. The aim of our department is to cultivate writers with wisdom who can contribute in the fields of journalism, philosophy, ecology, arts and sciences”
