Wave Boxing clubs outstanding performer Abu Talib secured his spot into the finals by defeating Akash Fulkar in a tough and competitive bout which went on for 3 rounds. Abu Talib however managed to salvage the round to score the much needed points to see him advance into the finals of the (Elite Men’s) category in the Goa State Boxing Championship.
National Boxer Santosh Harijan also made his way into the finals of the Elite Men’s Group by defeating Rahul from M.B.C. And will be going glove to glove against Abu Talib in the highly awaited final which will be scheduled on the final day of the 4 day long tournament.
Some notable performances from the other categories saw Aditi Fadte from Rangers Boxing club claim the (Sub-Junior Girls) Medal in the division after defeating Rutija Joshi of Sai Thunder Boxing Club.
(Sub Junior Category Boys) winner Suraj Ram from Margao Boxing Club defeated Ketan Walke from Thunder Boxing Club to claim the medal.
