The finishing works of the water reservoir with heavy storage capacity of three crore thirty six lakhs liters of water is over and ready for inauguration in the Cusat campus.

Thus the University expects a cut of 0.75 crores in the non- plan expenditure. The present water resources in the campus are, a natural pond in front of department of Biotechnology, two wells near Athidhi Bhavan and 6 bore wells in an around.
Daily requirement of water in the campus is ten lakhs of liters, according to the Engineering department. The newly built Cusat reservoir, having a total dia of 47.50 meter with the capacity of 3,35,70,280 liters is funded by University Grants Commission with the 85 percentage of the total expenditure. The work was entrusted with an outside agency through tender process by the Engineering department Cusat.
The reservoir will be inaugurated by Cusat Pro- Vice Chancellor Dr. K Poulose Jacob on 23 rd Friday at 2:30 p.m. Vice Chancellor Dr. J Letha will be the Chief Guest.
