Punjab National Bank (PNB), nation’s leading public sector bank, today commemorated the ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ (Constitution Day) at their corporate office in New Delhi. Senior leadership and employees came together to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution and reiterate their dedication to the values it embodies.
The event began with the collective reading of the Preamble, led by PNB MD & CEO Shri Ashok Chandra, joined by Executive Directors Shri M. Paramasivam, Shri D. Surendran, and Shri Amit Kumar Srivastava, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Raghvendra Kumar, and other senior officials of the bank.
Reflecting on the significance of the day, PNB MD & CEO Shri Ashok Chandra said, “The idea of Loktantra in Bharat is centuries old, rooted deeply in our civilisational ethos. As we observe Constitution Day, we honour the visionaries who crafted our Constitution, especially Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, who inspired the declaration of this day. His foresight continues to guide our nation’s pursuit of justice, equality, and inclusive growth. On this occasion, we reaffirm our pledge to uphold the Constitution and remain committed to the values that strengthen our democracy.”
