Federal Bank’s “Drops of Hope 3.0” Blood Donation Drive Spreads Life and Light Across India

 Federal Bank organised a nationwide blood donation drive “Drops of Hope 3.0” under the Bank’s flagship Sunshine Employee Volunteering Initiative. The drive was conducted to commemorate Federal Bank’s 108th Founder’s Day and is the third year of the drive.

 The initiative was held at 312 centres across the country, uniting thousands of volunteers, customers, and members of the public in a mission of compassion. 25% of donors were first-time participants and the drive also saw participation of 3,257 women donors.

 The highlight of ‘Drops of Hope 3.0’ is the impact it created and the participation it witnessed. 21,085 volunteers came forward to support the cause with 31,628 volunteering hours contributed to community service. 17,607 eligible donors (13.5 times increase since the first drive), donating a total of 7,906,950 mL (~8 million mL) of blood that is expected to save 70,284 lives through component separation.

 Rajanarayanan N, Chief Human Resources Officer, Federal Bank said, “Drops of Hope 3.0 is a tribute to the Founder’s vision of service beyond banking. The drive represents the collective empathy and commitment of the community, as we witnessed a significant participation of over 82% from the public, extending beyond employee volunteers and our customers. The generous support and collaboration of all our partners in this initiative is what made it impactful.”

 Drops of Hope 3.0 directly supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Good Health & Well-being, aligns with Federal Bank’s broader sustainability agenda.
