Noted Malayalam film director Diphan died here today after prolonged illness. Forty-five-year-old Diphan, who had been suffering from liver ailment for some time, died at a private hospital here this morning.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
A hospital spokesperson said Diphan had been undergoing treatment for the liver disease for quite some time. He was admitted to the hospital here on February 26.
His condition worsened after he contracted pneumonia, he said. The post production work of his new movie ‘Sathya’ starring Jayaram is in its final stage.
Diphan is known for his movies Pudhiya Mugham, Hero, SIM, D Company and Dolphins. His friends said the body will be taken to Thiruvananthapuram, where the cremati
