KOCHI:
KITES Senior Care, a division of Lifebridge Group and one of India’s leading out-of-hospital senior care providers, today announced the launch of its specialized geriatric care centre in Kochi. The new facility expands capacity in a state where 16.5% of the population is over the age of 60.
The 48-bed centre, strategically located on Seaport–Airport Road, Kakkanad, offers a full spectrum of geriatric services, including post-hospital rehabilitation, palliative, and respite care. Residents benefit from 24×7 medical and nursing supervision, high-dependency care units, personalised treatment plans, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, Ayurveda, wellness support, nutritious meals, and thoughtfully designed communal spaces that foster social engagement.
The facility was inaugurated by P. Rajeev, Minister for Law, Industries and Coir, Government of Kerala, in the presence of Radhamani Pillai, Chairperson, Thrikkakara Municipality; M.K. Chandrababu, Opposition Leader, Thrikkakara Municipality; C.C. Viju, Councillor, Ward 16; V. Sunil Kumar, Founder and MD, Asset Homes; and Dr. T. Vinayakumar, Partner, Guide Holdings. They were joined by Rajagopal G, Co-founder, Director & Group CEO, Lifebridge Group, and Dr. Reema Nadig, Co-founder & COO, Lifebridge Group.
Rajagopal G, Co-founder, Director & Group CEO, Lifebridge Group, said: “With India’s ageing population rising sharply and Kerala leading this demographic shift, the demand for specialised senior care is both urgent and enduring. At KITES, we have built a financially sustainable, scalable model that maintains the highest standards of clinical excellence. The Kochi centre is another step in creating a trusted, pan–South India ecosystem delivering social impact and long-term value.”
Dr. Reema Nadig, Co-founder & COO, Lifebridge Group, added: “Senior care at KITES goes beyond medical treatment to include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, emotional support, and traditional wellness practices that restore independence and quality of life. The Kochi centre brings all of these under one roof, supporting families through some of life’s most challenging transitions.”
Care at KITES Kochi is led by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, clinical pharmacists, and trained caregivers. The centre also offers home care services, including doctor visits and online consultations, nursing and critical care support, physiotherapy, speech and respiratory therapy, second opinions, lab tests, medicines and medical device delivery, and preventive health services including vaccinations.
