  • Vietjet Sets New Benchmark in Aviation Services, Customer Satisfaction, and Sustainable Development

By NE Reporter on September 10, 2025

    MUMBAI:

Vietjet, Vietnam’s new-age carrier, has been conferred the “Excellence in Aviation Services & Customer Experience” award at the ET Leadership Excellence Awards 2025. Vietjet is the only foreign airline to receive this honour, joining leading Indian brands in one of the country’s most prestigious business accolades.

The award acknowledges outstanding business performance, service innovation, and positive community impact. It reflects Vietjet’s growing success in the Indian market, where the airline has welcomed over 1.8 million passengers since launching direct services in 2019. Vietjet now operates 88 flights per week across 10 direct routes linking Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru with Vietnam’s major cities, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

More Indian travellers are choosing Vietjet for its affordable fares with four flexible fare classes, major promotional campaigns, and tailored inflight experiences, from vegetarian and Halal meal options to onboard yoga sessions and festive celebrations of Diwali and Holi. The airline is also at the forefront of digital transformation with multi-platform booking options (website, app, OTAs), PayU e-wallet integration, the SkyJoy membership programme, and its AI-powered assistant, Amy, to enhance the overall customer experience.

Beyond customer service, Vietjet’s green operations and community-focused initiatives further solidify its leadership. The carrier has recently been recognised globally as one of the seven winners of the Sustainability Awards 2025 by AirlineRatings.com, the world’s leading airline safety and product rating platform. Vietjet was commended for its modern, fuel-efficient fleet, early adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and multi-billion-dollar investments in new-generation Airbus aircraft, which reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 25% compared to earlier models.

Vietjet continues to expand its international flight network, strengthening connectivity between Vietnam, India, and the world, thereby creating more opportunities for travel and tourism. With a vision to become a leading international aviation group, Vietjet strives to make flying accessible to all while delivering meaningful value for communities in Vietnam’s new era of development and contributing to India’s growth and prosperity.
