KOCHI:
Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (ERCMPU) has launched a series of training programmes to equip the bulk milk-cooler (BMC) teams under its region secure ISO 22000:2018 certification.
ERCMPU Chairman C.N. Vathsalan Pillai inaugurated the programme at the Prayar Gopalakrishnan Memorial Hall of Milma headquarters here today. The training, planned as part of the National Dairy Development Programme, is aimed at upgrading BMC groups to ISO standards. The programme is being conducted for employees of 182 BMC groups. Milk cooperative societies in d Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Idukki come under ERCMPU.
John Theruvath, member of the ERCMPU board, presided over the function. Other participants included Sathyan T.N, K.C. Martin, Thara Unnikrishnan, Radhakrishnan N.R, Managing Director Wilson J. Puravakkat, Quality Control Assurance Head, Vincy Vargheese, P&I Assistant Manager Sana Jose. The next round of training programmes o will be held in Edappally and Munnar.
