NEW DELHI:
KKavitha, a prominent leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has vowed to continue her legal battle following her release from jail on Tuesday evening. Kavitha was granted bail by the Supreme Court in connection with corruption and money laundering charges linked to the now-scrapped 2021-22 Delhi excise policy.
Speaking to reporters before departing for Hyderabad, Kavitha said, “I always believe that justice will prevail. We will definitely fight, and will not lose our resolve.” The 46-year-old leader had been in judicial custody for more than five months prior to her release.
Upon her release, Kavitha reiterated her commitment to challenging the charges against her, stating, “I will absolutely take the battle forward,” highlighting her determination to fight the legal accusations she faces.
