Aster Medcity to Organize CME and Hands-On Workshop on Gastrointestinal Emergencies

KOCHI:
Department of Gastro Sciences and Emergency Medicine at Aster Medcity to organize a hands-on workshop on Point of Care Ultrasonography (POCUS) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Gastrointestinal Emergencies. The event is designed for General Physicians, Emergency Physicians, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, and Post Graduate Students who can attend the workshop to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of emergency medicine.

The topics to be discussed during the ultrasound workshop includes the basics of USG, Echo Screening, RUSH Protocol, and Bedside Fast Screening. The attendees can also participate in case-based discussions on various emergencies such as Foreign Body Ingestion in Children, Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Acute Liver Failure and Abdominal Trauma.

The course will be directed by Dr. Jeffey George, Consultant, Medical Gastroenterology, Aster Medcity and Dr. Johnson K Varghese, HOD & Consultant, Aster Emergency Medicine.
