Petr Šolc, Brand Director, ŠKODA AUTO India, said, “As a team, our focus was to close 2022 on a high note, and we are all proud of achieving our ambition. 2022 will always stand as an unforgettable year for us, we doubled our sales over the previous year, we hit monthly and quarterly sales records, we expanded our network with more touchpoints and being closer to our customers, our SLAVIA sedan has provided massive impetus to the premium mid-size sedan category and the KUSHAQ SUV has got a full 5-stars in the latest Global NCAP crash tests and is officially India’s safest car. The credit for these achievements goes out to our teams, our dealer partners and above all to our fans and customers whose love and faith in brand ŠKODA has enabled this success and our Biggest Year yet.”
Cumulatively, from January to December 2022, ŠKODA AUTO India has sold 53,721 units, which is more than double of the 23,858 cars it sold in 2021. Climbing higher peaks in its INDIA 2.0 mandate, ŠKODA AUTO India has also exceeded the target of 225 sales and service touchpoints and today has close to 240 customer touchpoints across India. This expansion is in line with the company’s objective of maintaining momentum on INDIA 2.0’s customer centricity and customer satisfaction front by expanding its network and being closer to its customers.
Furthermore, ŠKODA AUTO India has fully digitalised its showrooms with revolutionary immersive and interactive technologies that redefines the car-buying experience for its customers. Earlier, the ŠKODA KUSHAQ earned a full 5-star safety rating in the latest Global New Car Assessment Programme crash test. The KUSHAQ continues to remain the safest car and one to get a full 5-stars in both adult and child safety. The SLAVIA has been instrumental in the double-digit growth of the premium mid-size sedan segment.
ŠKODA AUTO India already leads the industry with a 4-year/100,000 km warranty over the industry- standard 3-year one. In addition to this warranty is a standard 4-year Peace of Mind Package along with a Complimentary Standard Maintenance Package for both the KUSHAQ and the SLAVIA. Moreover, the KUSHAQ and SLAVIA have an array of Financial Benefits, Loyalty Bonuses and Exchange Incentives for existing and new customers to celebrate the new year.
