  • 49 Kerala IT Firms Set to Fly Dubai for GITEX

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    As many as 49 Kerala based IT companies and start-ups will be participating in GITEX Global, the annual technology event to be held in Dubai next month.

    This will be the first physical international event for IT companies from Kerala after a gap of nearly two years since the emergence of Covid 19. The major tech event which showcases the latest technologies and innovative ideas in AI, cloud, big data, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum Computing and Fintech etc, is an opportunity for IT companies from the state to find new market and attract investments. Companies from all over the world are participating in the event which is slated to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from October 17 to 21.

    30 IT firms from Technopark Thiruvananthapuram, Infopark Kochi, Cyberpark Kozhikode will take part in the event. Of this 21 companies are from Kozhikode alone. Others are six from Infopark, two from Technopark and one from KINFRA Thiruvananthapuram. Besides this, 19 start-ups from Kerala Startup Mission will also participate in GITEX. In addition to the opportunity to introduce products and services, the companies can also participate in thought-provoking conferences during the event. Through GITEX Global, Kerala IT Parks aims to showcase the state’s fast emerging IT ecosystem, potential for technology entrepreneurs and investment prospects along with facilitating IT firms from the state to connect and network with more international players. In addition to the opportunity to introduce products and services, IT entrepreneurs can also participate in conferences during the event.

    Kerala IT Parks CEO John M Thomas will also be in Dubai to attend the GITEX. Kerala IT will also organize a special business-to-business meet for expatriate industrialists and entrepreneurs to explore global market opportunities for Kerala based IT firms and attract more IT investments to
    Kerala. The Middle East region is also a major market for IT companies in Kerala.
