

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) is organizing an online seminar on “Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for individuals with communication disorders,” on August 27.
The seminar is being organized in association with the Directorate of Social Justice. Sangeetha G.S, Speech Language Pathologist, Dept of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, NISH, will lead the Online Interactive Disability Awareness (NIDAS) webinar.
The ensuing webinar, the 57th in the series, will be streamed live through Google Meet platform from the NISH campus at Akkulam here from 10.30 am. The one-hour webinar, to be conducted in Malayalam, aims at creating awareness on AAC systems that provide individuals with communication challenges the means to express their needs and interact with people around them.
