THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Rotary Club of Technopark conducted a free vaccination drive for 300 contract support staff of Technopark campus. While IT companies in Technopark are running vaccination drives for their employees, Rotary Club of Technopark wanted to extend that facility to the contract support staff of Technopark so that they stay safe against Covid 19 virus.
The support staff play a major role in ensuring the smooth operations at Technopark and since their physical presence is very much required, as they help with security, house keeping, cleaning etc and hence they fall under ‘the needy category’ for vaccine. This much needed initiative was made possible with support from both Rotary Club of Technopark and John M Thomas, CEO, Kerala State IT Parks.
Harish Mohan, President, Rotary Club of Technopark said that the drive is a great relief for the needy. He added that Rotary will support any such initiative aimed at the safety and welfare of fellow humans. Manu Madhavan, Secretary, Rotary Club of Technopark said that the club has taken up many such initiatives during the pandemic period. John M Thomas, CEO, Kerala State IT Parks, profusely thanked Rotary Club for joining Technopark in the fight against Covid by sponsoring vaccines.
Felicitations were done by James Varghese (Assistant Governor for Rotary Zone Ill), Dr. Ciniraj Raveendran (Co-ordinator for Rotary Covid Task Force), K Srinivasan (District Governor Elect for Rotary District 3211) and Shyam Starry (Assistant Governor Elect for Rotary Zone VIII).
