Many European countries a ‘dual education system’ exists. In the educational learning system, there is equal importance on technical training and practical trainings. At present, there are 24,00,461 people who are undergoing training as apprentices at various institutes across the country. But in Kerala the number is only 2340. It is hoped that the implementation of the Sankalp scheme effectively in the State will lead to an increase in the number of apprentices in Kerala.
