  • StartUp Mela at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology

    KOCHI:
    To initiate and build an entrepreneurial culture among youngsters Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology initiated StartUp Mela.
    Around 230 students applied for this event. Their startup ideas will be guided, mentored and promoted by industry experts and Alumni Association will liaison with corporates to bring in the support of domain experts required to back student startup ideas.  The function was inaugrted by Kochouseph Chittilappilly at the function held at the campus.
    There are plenty of opportunities for this generation entrepreneurs and founders need to be confident, determined and hardworking to come up with flying colors, said Kochousep. Only products and services with high quality and standard will have a longterm business future and he admires company like TATA which is now being lead by the fourth generation entrepreneurs.
    He also said that, an entrepreneurs will be dealing with different teams like finance, marketing, strategy etc. and so they need to have an overall idea of all these segments. He said that he was just an above average student in his studies and if he could make this happen, others could create wonders.
    Also, Entrepreneurs should know their shortcomings and should work to improve their skill set and talents. They could use modern technologies and devices to sharpen their skills.
    This event was jointly organized by the Alumni Association and Entrepreneurship Cell of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology. Student startup ideas will be guided, mentored and promoted by industry experts and Alumni Association will liai

    Fr. Jose Alex Oruthayapilly, presided over the function and said that entrepreneurship is the way forward for the country to excel in future, and students should start thinking of creating jobs than just getting jobs. He also offered different schemes and scholarships the management offered for student startups.
