THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Kerala Rail Development Corporation Ltd (K-Rail) has called entries from the public for selecting the logo for the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Semi High Speed Rail corridor project, SilverLine.
The contest seeks to engage the creative skills of the public and K-Rail’s prospective passengers in creating a logo that will be distinguishable and recognizable. The contest is open to all Indian citizens of all age groups. However, K-Rail’s media partners or their family members cannot participate in the contest. Students of art, graphic design and architecture can participate as individuals or groups of not more than four members.
The prize winning entries will be treated as K-Rail’s copyrighted properties, and shall be used in any form by it for its branding and promotions. The logo should be an original work of the participant and should not contain any third party material that violates copyright rules.The entries should not contain nudity, pornographic or sexually explicit content. They should not defame, misrepresent, or make disparaging or threatening remarks about any person.

A dream project of Kerala, the DPR of the Rs. 63,941 crore SilverLine project was approved by the Board of Directors of K-Rail earlier this month.
The rail corridor, to be completed in 2025, will enable running of trains at an operational speed of 200 Km per hour, reducing the running time to Ernakulam to one-and-a- half hours and to up north Kasaragod to four hours from the state capital.
