As a part of the national stakeholders Feed back Divas on the new GST Return system an interactive session for taking feed back was held on 07.12 2019 at Central Tax and Central excise Commissionerate, Kochi.
In this connection Pullela Nageswara Rao , Principal Chief Commissioner of Central Excise Central Tax and Costoms has been addressing various trade associations in Kerala The feed back divas at kochi was inaugurated by . K.R Uday Bhaskar , Principal Commissioner Central Tax and Central Excise , Kochi Commissionerate. The principal Commissioner invited the trade to come up with the suggestions on the new return filing for fine tuning the system.
He further stated that the suggestions would be taken into account while finalizing the module for return filing. The new simplified GST return filing system aims at enhancing GST compliance and accuracy of the return filing process keeping with the spirit of ease of doing business. This new return filing system will be implemented from April, 2020.
The principal commissioner also pointed out that the simplified system will reduce the cost of compliance for the trade in the long run. In this connection interactions / training sessions were conducted in all GST Commissionerates in Kerala from 2nd , December to 6th , December which was attended by representatives from trade , tax practitioners, consultants and chartered accountants.
The sessions were organised by Rajeswari R. Nair, Joint Commissioner and conducted by Antonio Nettikadan, Superintendent and Jacob Varghese, Inspector.
