Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has closed September with total sales of 485,659 units. While domestic sales stood at 455,892 units, exports stood at 29,767 units in the month.
Customer sentiment is showing some positivity in the first two days of Navratre (29-30 Sep).
Key activities in Sep’19
* Honda Festival Dhamaka: Honda announced its biggest ever festival offer – Honda Festive Dhamaka. This festive season, customers can bring home a world of happiness on purchase of any Honda 2Wheeler model with benefits up to Rs. 11,000 (Rs. 8,900 benefit on purchase through special retail finance scheme against general market finance and limited period free enrolment of Honda Joy Club with benefits upto Rs. 2,100). Not only this, customers can pay online and save too as Honda’s collaboration with Paytm gives cashback and benefits upto Rs. 7,000. That’s not all, this festival gets more exciting. For the first time ever, Honda has associated with Pine Labs to power customers’ purchase through debit and credit cards of over 10 banks with EMI option too.
* Honda launches & starts delivery of first BS-VI model – Activa 125 BSVI: Leading from the front Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. launched its first BSVI 2Wheeler, the all NEW premium ACTIVA 125 much ahead of April 2020 deadline. The historic occasion was graced by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways and MSME, Government of India as chief guest. Keeping its commitment and marking the auspicious day of first Navratri with more joy for its customers, Honda 2Wheelers commenced the PAN India deliveries. The all new Activa 125 BSVI is built with Honda’s superior technology and many segment-first-features, which will bring more value and convenience to the customers.
* Corporate social responsibility: In September, Honda inaugurated 4 new Skill Enhancement Centers at Asansol, Dehradun, Palakkad and Mangaluru to give job oriented skills to local youth, empowered Rajasthan Police with fully equipped motorcycles to strengthen road safety in the state, inaugurated 2 new Safety Driving Education Centre in Calicut and Vijayawada; and organized National Road Safety Awareness programs to educate college and school students in Agra, Azamgarh, Balasore, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Pune and Ranchi.
* Motorsports: IDEMITSU HondaTen10 Racing team won 5th consecutive PS165cc Triple Crown and debut PS201-300cc win in the 2019 season of MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship. Parallely, IDEMITSU Honda Racing India notched another top 15 finish in the Malaysian round of Asia Road Racing Championship 2019 (ARRC).
