NAVI MUMBAI:
Celebrating the homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali, the Kerala harvest festival, Onam, is back with all the pomp and glitter this year at Seawoods Grand Central Mall in association with Seawoods Malyali Samaj. In line with the festive mood, the mall will create a 9 meters floral rangoli at the mall atrium to welcome the King in the traditional way on August 31, 2019.
The rich and vibrant festivals of India transcend all barriers and serve as a melting point for people from all walks of life and a bonding place for families. True to the spirit of the festivities, SGC Mall through its exclusive style of celebrations has always strived towards bringing people together and thereby instilling happiness in the life of its patrons.
This year’s Onam celebrations at the mall are unique as besides the traditional rituals, the mall has added a series of cultural programs which are exclusive to the locals of Kerala. Brought to Navi Mumbai for the first time by SGC Mall, guests will be enthralled with Theyyam, Chenda Mellam, Kathakali, Thiruvathira, Oppana and many more. The mall is also organizing various folk songs and recitation performances on the occasion.
